While the original mobile Yu-Gi-Oh game took a backseat to the newly-released Master Duel last year, the game continued to consistently add new content throughout the year. 2022 featured popular characters from throughout Yu-Gi-Oh’s many series like Sora Perse from Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V and Jim “Crocodile” Cook from Yu-Gi-Oh GX introduced. Duel Links also added several powerful new cards to the game like Monster Reborn and Megamorph. Now, Duel Links’ 6th anniversary will bring another iconic card to the game, along with plenty of rewards.

A short video shared by Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links’ social media accounts revealed the plethora of exclusive rewards coming with the game’s sixth anniversary. Players will be able to receive a variety of in-game items with 1000 gems joined by a batch of UR and SR tickets, character unlock tickets, and exclusive sleeves and game mats. The highlight of the sixth anniversary rewards comes as a Legend foil printing of the legendary Trap card Mirror Force, much like Duel Links’ fifth anniversary featuring a similar printing of Monster Reborn.
The conclusion of the sixth anniversary preview also showcases a special animation for Mirror Force’s introduction to Duel Links. Activating Mirror Force will cause the card’s art to flash on-screen similar to the visual effects seen in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, adding extra flair to the iconic Yu-Gi-Oh staple. The trailer also features voiceover from one of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime’s most memorable supporting characters, the Insect duelist Weevil Underwood. Duel Links’ sixth anniversary celebration is underway now, with players able to obtain Mirror Force by logging into the game.
Duel Links’ sixth anniversary celebration comes after a year that saw a variety of new ways for Yu-Gi-Oh players to experience the card game. Konami began 2022 with the launch of Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel to overwhelming success, with the game breaking player count records on Steam for TCGs. Konami also launched Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel last summer as an alternative to the traditional Yu-Gi-Oh experience, pitting players in chaotic four-player battles. Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links’ anniversary festivities will celebrate six years as one of the top mobile trading card games.
