Getting an invitation is not a guarantee that you will be able to buy the console since it depends on availability. It is highly likely that not all requests will be granted. However, the PS4 is getting old and won’t always be around, so there’s no harm in getting on the waiting list now for the PS5.
How the System Works
To request an invitation, head over to the PS5 product page. You will see the Request Invitation button where Add to Cart or Buy Now buttons would normally be. Once you click on the Request Invitation button, you will receive an email informing you that you have 72 hours to complete the purchase if you are successful.
