NVIDIA’s Attention Is on Creators Even as NVIDIA released the RTX 3000 series of graphics cards, the company had made it clear that it would be focusing much more on creators. The April 2021 NVIDIA Studio Driver and GeForce Experience update is a testament to NVIDIA’s commitment. In a post on the official NVIDIA blog, the company states: The supported creative applications include everything that comes under NVIDIA Studio’s gamut. This includes popular software such as Maya, Adobe Lightroom, and OBS amongst others....

It doesn’t come cheap, though. The Bowflex Treadmill 10 starts at $1999 at Bowflex (opens in new tab), and while it comes with two free months of JRNY (adaptive workout) features, you’ll need to take out a subscription to use these features after that initial trial period is over. That JRNY subscription will cost $19.99 per month, which is a substantial investment. Given that the Treadmill 10 relies on this JRNY features to justify its significant price, you need to be committed to your fitness before buying this beauty....

The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) has just introduced a new specification, dubbed Clear Motion Ratio (ClearMR), which will make it easier to judge a monitor’s proficiency in eliminating motion blur. The new specification will apply to both LCD and emissive display products, including display panels, computer monitors, laptops, tablets, TVs, and more. “ClearMR is beneficial to the average consumer because it is a standardized measure of how sharp moving images are on a display, which all the other numbers on the box are not,” Ben Golus, tech artist and graphics programmer, told Lifewire over Twitter....

We’ve known that Apple’s upcoming 13.6-inch MacBook Air would have the latest M2 Silicon chip for about a month, but now we also know when they’ll be available. However, while the laptop may have been redesigned to take advantage of the faster processor, it may not be a “can’t miss” upgrade option. The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene recently investigated 15 cases of lead poisoning associated with the use of traditional ceramic ware. The cases occurred in both adults and children, with levels of lead reaching as high as 53 micrograms per deciliter of blood. Typically, lead levels higher than 5 mg per deciliter of blood is considered a “significant exposure.” Lead poisoning in children can interfere with learning and cause behavioral problems....

According to a post on the platform’s support channel, the popular video platform has made polls and subscriber-only chats available to all live-streamers. Shareable clips are also now available to streamers with 1,000 subscribers or more, though the company said it’s planning to expand the feature to all streamers in the future. Subscriber-only chats will empower streamers to connect with their audiences in real-time (including streams and Premieres). Streamers who enable the feature on their channel will be able to control and moderate chats by specifying how long viewers must wait after subscribing before they can participate, depending on the specifics of their community....

There’s now also an option to set different streaming quality preferences when on mobile data and Wi-Fi. YouTube Mobile Now Lets You Set the Default Video Playback Quality YouTube has so far offered the option to playback videos at a specific resolution or set it to Auto, which changes the video quality depending on your internet connection speed. Now though, YouTube on mobile offers four different streaming quality options. There’s Data Saver that will “lower picture quality” to save on data....

In other words, take the full list with a grain of salt. With that being said, it should come as no surprise that the PS4 reveal trailer was the number 1 trending video on YouTube. For several years, Egyptian authorities have cracked down on female TikTok users over charges such as “debauchery” and “violating family values.” At least a dozen women and girls faced arrest and imprisonment over their posts. Amid global outcry from human rights campaigners, a handful of Egyptian men saw an opportunity for social media clout. Newsweek found a pocket of verified YouTubers who dedicated videos to “exposing” women and girls on social media for castigation and incarceration, mainly over dancing TikToks....
